New Use for Time Ring in Town Centre

Date: 20th February, 2013

Following the recent Andover Summit free bookings of the Time Ring have been introduced for charities and other not-for-profit organisations to use the event space.

A series of events have been lined up to link with the 2013 programme of Farmers’ Markets in the town.
Future performers include the Winchester Celidah band Threepenny Bit on 17 March and the Middle Wallop Military Wives Choir on 21 April.
Councillor Ian Carr, Leader of the Council said: “The Summit identified a set of priority actions for the town, one of which was to encourage more High Street events and activities.  I am delighted that we have managed to move so swiftly, not only in introducing free use of the Time Ring, but also in pulling together an exciting programme of events.”
The High Street Events working group are keen to hear from performers, choirs, schools, charities and other local groups who would like to perform in the Time Ring.  Two hour slots are available for either 10am – 12pm or 12pm - 2pm seven days a week.  Bookings can be made online at www.testvalley.gov.uk
