The ward of Alamein covers 1,429 hectares on the north-eastern edge of Test Valley. Alamein is one of five wards that make up the town of Andover.

Nature of Ward

The ward is made up of a mix of different communities ranging from relatively wealthy residents living in rural villages in the northern part of the ward to less well-off, and in some cases disadvantaged, residents in the southern, urban part of the ward near to Andover Town Centre
