Dedicated Councillors and the Town Clerk were on site on the High Street from 4.30 this morning supervising the installation of the Christmas Tree, ready for the Christmas Lights Switch-on next week, Friday 21 November.
It was an impressive sight with the 35ft tree being craned into position and tied in well by the contractors.
The Christmas Lights will be installed over the weekend, with plenty of lights being put on the Christmas Tree.
