New Transport on Demand service hits Andover!

Date: 16th April, 2025

Councillor Heather Neate, Andover Town Mayor, cut the ribbon to officially launch an exciting new on-demand bus service that has launched in the Northern Test Valley area, providing affordable, flexible, and convenient travel for people in more rural areas.

This service, trialled by Hampshire County Council and operated by Community First, this service connects residents between Andover and the wider Northern Test Valley.

Transport on Demand service offers a flexible way to travel, allowing passengers to book a minibus via an app or by phone.

With no fixed route or timetable, minibuses can adapt to pick up and drop off passengers anywhere between designated bus stops in the SP10, SP11, and SO20 postcode areas.

The service covers around 350 bus stops and provides vital access to local towns, shops, and services, including Andover Town Centre, Andover War Memorial Hospital, and the town’s train and bus stations. The service is wheelchair accessible and allows booking via an app, the web and telephone to accommodate differing needs.
