Online survey for the Folly Roundabout, Active Travel Improvements scheme

Date: 3rd November, 2025

The survey opened at noon today and will close on Sunday 21 December 2025 at 11:59pm.

The scheme will improve the route connecting Western Avenue, Folly Roundabout, and Charlton Road, helping people travel more safely without needing a car. Feedback from the survey will help shape the next stage of the proposal.

The aims of the scheme are to:

• improve facilities for walking, wheeling (use a wheelchair or mobility scooter) and cycling between West Street and Folly Roundabout
• provide safe and convenient crossings at junctions along the route for all users
• encourage walking, wheeling and cycling for short / medium distance journeys, improving health and reducing vehicle emissions
• link to existing routes to the north of Andover Town Centre for onward journeys
• complement the Test Valley Borough Council Riverside Park regeneration scheme

This scheme helps deliver the goals of Hampshire County Council’s Local Transport Plan 4 (LTP4), which aims to create a cleaner, safer, and more inclusive transport system by 2050.
