Please Keep Reporting Potholes in Andover — Even If They’re Already Marked

Date: 25th February, 2026

As we move through winter and into spring, potholes are becoming more and more of an issue on the streets and roads in and around Andover. Many residents understandably assume that once a pothole has been outlined with white paint, it has already been reported — but this isn’t always the case. Those markings may simply indicate that an inspector has noted the defect, not that a repair request has been formally logged.

Hampshire County Council can only act on potholes once they are officially reported through their online system, which allows you to provide an accurate location and check progress.

Likewise, FixMyStreet offers a simple reporting tool that automatically sends your submission to the correct authority.
