Resignation of Councillor Heather Neate as Town Mayor and Downlands Ward Councillor

Andover Town Council announces that Councillor Heather Neate has formally resigned with immediate effect from her roles as Town Mayor and as Councillor for Downlands Ward. Councillor Neate has served the town with distinction, having held the office of Town Mayor for two terms and representing the residents of Downlands Ward for three years. During her time in office, she has made a significant and lasting contribution to the community, championing local initiatives and supporting a wide range of civic and charitable activities.

Reflecting on her service, Councillor Neate expressed her sincere gratitude to the Council’s Officers for their professionalism, dedication, and continued support throughout her tenure. She has highlighted how their commitment has been instrumental in delivering services and initiatives that benefit the residents of Andover.
